A (not so) good weekend review

Marty (#30) had unexpected muscle soreness during warmups. Surprisingly, he left warm ups and spent the game on the bench. If you're a fan, this was a shock as injuries for Marty are rare.

Stephen Gionta took the faceoff for the Devils against the Winnipeg Jets. Unfortunately, this luck did not hold ultimately ending in a 4-2 loss.

The fight of the game was between Devils' Barch and Jets' Peluso.

Hopefully, next week will bring happier news for Devils' Fans.

matteau! matteau! matteau!

Stefan Matteau is a player to watch this season. He was drafted in the first round by the Devils. During February 9th's game he scored his first Career goal in the NHL. His prospects are very promising. Let's watch to see how he develops!

Ironically, Stefan's father was a Ranger who scored the final goal, during overtime, that knocked the Devils out of the 1994 playoffs in Game 7.

Blown Away by the Hurricanes

The New Jersey Devils played on Tuesday the twelfth of February. Though they played well most of the game they ultimately lost. During the first period the Devils’ were ahead with one goal. However, as the game wore on fatigue was evident as they gave up two goals to the opposing team, the Carolina hurricanes, in the second period. During the third period the Hurricanes blew through with another goal. And though the devils tried to fight back, scoring a second goal, the hurricanes destroyed the Devils’ defense with a final goal. This victory leaves the Devils still in first place in the division with a record of 8-2.

Stay tuned for more Devils’ news!
